Una excelente labor del derecho A.J. Burnett, superó en bonito duelo al dominicano Pedro Martínez quien permitió jonrones solitarios de Hideki Matsui y Jorge Posada para guiar a los Yankees de Nueva York a una victoria de 3-1 ante los Filis de Filadelfia e igualar 1-1 la Serie Mundial 2009.
